Our club ethos is a written declaration that sets out how we want to run as a club. It’s simple and concise and can be understood by players, parents and officials.
Our clearly defined coaching philosophy provides direction, purpose and guidance to the process of coaching young players.
AS A NEW CLUB WE HAD A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO RETHINK THE WAY A GRASSROOTS CLUB COULD BE RUN. WE STARTED OFF BUILDING A COMMITTEE THAT HAD COMMON GOALS, VALUES AND A SHARED VISION.
We believe that children between the ages of 5-11 need the best coaching available and every child should be included. It’s between these years that players develop the most skills and more importantly a love for the game which will stay with them through to adulthood.
With this in mind we bring in outside coaches that specialise in the age group that they are coaching. We have also formed partnerships with AFCB, DCFA and Arsenal SS to provide extra coaching to the girls and all 3 are regular contributors to the coaching sessions delivered on a weekly basis.
The added bonus to this is parents that want to begin coaching do so in a controlled way and are mentored throughout. The hope is we develop great coaches as we develop our players.
○ To provide football to Girls of all ages and abilities, ensuring everything is focused on the girls having fun in an engaging and safe environment. We aim to provide the platform for our players to develop a life-long love of the game and make some brilliant friendships.
○ To encourage all ages to know, interact and support each other. It’s brilliant seeing the players acknowledge and offer support away from football regardless of age or team. We also like to promote lots of player movement up and down age bandings to provide challenges and aid individual development
○ To offer a supportive environment where children can learn from their mistakes without undue pressure and anxiety
○ To create Youth Leaders that help shape the club whilst "uniting and inspiring" the younger players.
